About OIT


About OIT

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is the central unit responsible for supporting the academic, research, and administrative aims of the campus through the effective use of technology. OIT supports computer labs, desktop computers, instructional technology, campus-wide systems and network infrastructures. We have two computing help desks and offer software training.

Our organization

Led by Dr. Lori Temple, Vice Provost for Information Technology, since 1998, OIT has grown from a unit of 43 to 85. Links below and to the right offer more information about our organization.

Campus Computing Services
Provides help desks & training, desktop support, inventory control, networking, instructional technology & data storage solutions.

Systems & Applications
Provides enterprise-level software solutions, server management, integration, and applications security.

Administration and Support
Supports internal OIT operations, hosts the central budget office, Information Security Office, MyUNLV & WebCampus coordination, and communications group.
