Active Directory is a UNLV network computing account used to gain access to:

  • Workstations
  • Web-based applications
  • Shared network resources

Create a new account:

Complete the Employee Account Request form or contact your local administrator for a new account.


Change your password:

First, go to: http://tools.ad.unlv.edu

Windows

  1. Open Control Panel, Select the Advanced Tab,
  2. Click on Manage Passwords or Press CTRL+ALT+DEL,
  3. Click Change Password

Mac

On a Mac, use the Go menu and Connect, then the Options button. Contact the IT Help Desk for more information.
