Classroom Technology Workshop: Three Ways To Activate Your Lectures

The Office of Information Technology invites faculty to join us at noon on Friday, October 13 in CBC B-117  for a workshop with Deb Pires, life sciences faculty with the University of California, Los Angeles, to learn strategies for using clickers and increasing active learning in the classroom.  

This one-hour workshop will include:

  • Three before-and-after examples of how to change elements of a traditional lecture into active learning techniques.

  • Using a yes/no chart to decide where to start implementing changes.

  • Discussion on how to build in more active learning over time.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops and course materials in order to gain hands-on experience. Our i>Clicker representative and UNLV’s classroom support technicians will be also be on hand to answer your questions.
