Eduroam Wireless Network Now Available For UNLV

We are excited to announce that the eduroam Wi-Fi network is now available on campus. Eduroam is unique service that allows faculty, staff, and students to use secure Wi-Fi at thousands of partner universities, now including UNLV, and over 85 countries across the world.

To help you get connected, please stop by either IT Help Desk location in SU 231 or CBC B113.

You can also set up your eduroam connection yourself. For each device you wish to connect:

  1. Visit wifi.unlv.edu. If you are on campus and need temporary internet connectivity to set up your device, you can connect to the UNLV-Setup network in your Wi-Fi settings before visiting wifi.unlv.edu.

  2. Click the Configure Device button and follow the instructions to install the certificate.

  3. Use your ACE login information to sign in and complete the installation.

Detailed instructions can be found at wifi.unlv.edu. Certificates for each device will expire 18 months from when they were created. You will receive a notification for each device from OIT when it is time to renew.

The UNLV-Secure network will remain available on campus until late 2018 when the transition to eduroam authentication is complete.
