WebCampus-Blackboard Unavailable Saturday Morning

WebCampus-Blackboard will be unavailable from 12:01 a.m. - 8 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, in order to perform a system update. This extends the normal maintenance window by two hours.

New Google Calendar will become the default user interface for ​UNLVMail on January 8

Google is updating the look and feel of the Google Calendar. On Monday, January 8, the new Calendar will become the default interface for UNLVMail and Rebelmail. If you prefer, you can switch back to the classic Google Calendar until Monday, February 19, when the new calendar will become permanent.

The new Google Calendar features include:

  • New user interface: The user interface has been updated with modern color palette and a cleaner design.

WebCampus Unavailable Wednesday, December 27

WebCampus will be unavailable to users from 10 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, December 27 in order to implement the new landing page announced last week.

WebCampus Unavailable Wednesday, December 27

WebCampus will be unavailable to users from 10 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, December 27 in order to implement the new landing page announced last week.

WebCampus Transition to Canvas Begins

Earlier this year, we announced that UNLV will move to Canvas from Blackboard Learn as our WebCampus provider. In Spring 2018, we will begin our pilot test of the new Canvas system, beginning with Nursing and Greenspun College of Urban Affairs courses.

As part of this change, on December 27 you will see a new landing page with options to visit the current WebCampus, Blackboard Learn, as well as the new WebCampus powered by Canvas.​

New Google Calendar now available for Rebelmail and UNLVMail

One of the benefits of being a G Suite Campus is getting access to new features from Google. Today, we are excited to announce the new Google Calendar is now available for UNLVMail and Rebelmail.

The new Google Calendar features include:

  • New user interface: The user interface has been updated with modern color palette and a cleaner design.

UNLV wireless unavailable from 2 - 6 a.m. on Friday morning

Campus Wi-Fi, including UNLV-Secure, UNLV-Guest, UNLV-Setup and eduroam, will be unavailable from 2 - 6 a.m. this Friday, November 10 as we install necessary security patches.

Please contact the IT Help Desk if you have any questions or if you experience connection issues following the change.

 

Multiple campus technologies will be unavailable early on Saturday, Nov. 11

From 12:01 a.m. - 8 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, WebCampus and a number of other services will be unavailable as we transfer their databases to newer, more reliable storage hardware.

Services currently hosted on the impacted server, Cluster 2, that will be unavailable include:

  • Benefits Orientation                            

The Secure File Transfer system has been updated.

The Secure File Transfer system, which allows users to securely send up to 2GB of attachments to UNLV and non-UNLV recipients, has been updated.

Please note the URL of the service has changed to sft.oit.unlv.edu. While sharefiles.oit.unlv.edu will continue to work for now, you should update your bookmarks to use the new URL.

RebelCard Office Saturday Dates for Fall 2017

The RebelCard office is now open from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month in addition to our normal hours.

Visit us to pick up or replace your RebelCard and deposit RebelCash Saturday, October 21, November 18, and December 16.
