OIT is seeking feedback on potentially removing the Rebel Announcements Via Email (RAVE) RSS feed from service.
The server currently providing the feed will soon be decommissioned and the RSS feed must either be transitioned to a new service or also decommissioned until a new RAVE system is developed. RAVE messages will continue to be sent to students via email every Saturday and viewable online at https://webapps.oit.unlv.edu/rave/default.aspx.
The IT Help Desk is currently experiencing high call volume. Callers may receive an error message directing them to contact Telecommunications, but this is unnecessary. Instead, please contact the IT Help Desk using an alternate method below or try calling back at a later time.

OIT will be performing an update to a number of wireless access points on Sunday, July 26, between 4 and 5 a.m. During this time, WiFi connections in some buildings will be unavailable.
After the update is completed, you should be able to connect and use WiFi as normal. If you experience any problems, you may need to reconnect to UNLV-Secure, or in rare cases, update your wireless drivers.
Due to Telecommunications maintenance on the campus telephone system, the IT Help Desk will have limited phone functionality from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21.
The planned maintenance may leave VoIP telephone service across campus intermittently or completely unavailable. We anticipate that the IT Help Desk will be able to receive phone calls during this time, but the menu, on-hold queue, and voice mail will not be available.
Update: Following a hardware failure of OIT equipment located in the SCS data center, many of the services scheduled to be down during this outage continue to remain offline. Please follow http://status.unlv.edu for ongoing status updates.
SCS is planning to replace essential power equipment in the data center on June 13, 2015. This maintenance requires shutting down the SCS data center and will impact a number of critical campus services for an extended period of time.
The Lotus Notes servers will be decommissioned from service on June 30, 2015.
After June 30, you will unable to access any information in Lotus Notes. OIT will also be unable to assist with retrieving any information previously stored in Lotus Notes or convert Lotus Notes archive files to Outlook format.
