Between Saturday, September 13, 2014, 8:55 - 10:06 AM scheduled maintenance to UNLVMail (Google email) was extended. UNLVMail users who were already logged into their accounts before 8:00 AM should have been able to use UNLVMail throughout the outage. Users not already logged in could not login until maintenance was completed.
The deadline for preparing your Lotus Notes account for migration to UNLVMail is next Friday, Septemeber 19.
We know you have questions and want to make sure you are ready for UNLVMail. Join us this Friday, Sept. 12, at 9 a.m. and Thursday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m. in the Student Union's Philip J. Cohen Theater to learn more about the migration process and have your questions answered.
At 12:01 a.m. until approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, we will conduct maintenance to replace a network component in the SCS Data Center.
During the maintenance period, some servers hosted in the data center may be unavailable for up to 10 seconds while backup systems take effect.
If you are unable to reach services during the maintenance window, please wait until after the service period is over and try again. If you continue to experience issues, please contact the IT Help Desk.
On Wednesday, September 10, 2014, 1:30 PM Client Services reported that there will be emergency maintenance on Webcampus between 2:00 - 2:30 PM. During that time users will experience slow web pages responses.
At 12:01 a.m. until approximately 2 a.m. on Saturday, September 6, we will conduct maintenance to upgrade DHCP/DNS software. This service assists with directing web traffic to and from campus.
While an outage is not expected, you may notice accessing web pages from on campus is slow or might sometimes fail. Users trying to access services hosted in the data center from off campus may also experience these issues. If you are unable to reach a website, refreshing the page may resolve the issue.
We understand major changes like moving to a new email and collaboration system are difficult. To improve your experience with the UNLVMail transition, we have revised the cleanup deadline and data migration process.
You must clean up your mail and prepare your account for migration by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014. For important cleanup details and instructions, visit oit.unlv.edu/unlvmail.
