Microsoft offers a variety of programs and discounts for students at UNLV. 

Faculty/Staff

UNLV faculty and staff can obtain free and discounted Microsoft products for the work and home computers. Pricing and purchasing procedures differ, so ensure you get the right price and the right license for your needs.  Microsoft Office is supplied at no charge for all UNLV barcoded computers, but other products not included in Office may need to be purchased individually at discounted rates.

UNLV has a site license for Office which can be installed for free on any UNLV barcoded Computer.
Titles not included with Office may be purchased through Dell ASAP software at a discount.
Full time Faculty and Staff qualify to use Office at Home for free.

Microsoft offers free access to software for currently enrolled students.   Purchase your DreamSpark account for free through JourneyEd.com.  Visit the Dreamspark site and follow the instructions to enroll.

Your Academic Alliance account will be automatically created for you upon enrollment in qualifying classes.  Watch your Rebelmail for login information.

  • Contact the Help Desk to get Office installed for free on any UNLV barcoded computers or for Home Use.
  • Purchase Microsoft Select products, such as Visio, Project, and Expressions from ASAP, Dell's software division. shop.asap.com.
  • Contact the Help Desk for license keys and installation after purchasing the license. University purchasing procedures apply.
  • Use E-Academy for discounted personal purchases of Microsoft products unlv.e-academy.com
