SEND (Student E-mail Newsletters for Departments) is a web-based communication application enabling faculty and staff to compile e-newsletters for target groups of students in their college or department.


Details:

Faculty and staff with SEND accounts may post announcements and information for students. A weekly newsletter is then compiled with all posts and sent to applicable students in specific years, colleges, departments.

The SEND administration in OIT creates Facilitator accounts only.

Department and College facilitators create new Submitter accounts.

How to get software:

The application is web based and there is no installation required.

To get access to SEND, you must first have a Lotus Notes account.  SEND uses the Lotus Notes web username and password.

SEND Administration in OIT creates Facilitator accounts only.  New facilitators must be appointed by the college dean or department chair.

Department and College facilitators create new Submitter accounts.  Please contact the facilitator in your college or department if you want to be added to SEND so that you can submit messages.

Training options:

Training is required for all SEND facilitators.  The training staff in Client Services offers training upon request, or all new facilitators may engage in self training via guides and/or a self guided video
