Faculty/Staff
For Windows
ON CAMPUS
To obtain SPSS for Windows, contact the IT Help Desk. Provide the name of the person who will be using SPSS and the computer Property ID #. Full time faculty and staff qualify to receive SPSS as part of the UNLV site license. SPSS licenses expire on an annual basis and must be renewed. OIT will renew the license on the server, but you must obtain new license keys each year for individual installations.
AT HOME
Complete the SPSS Home Use Amendment only if you plan to use SPSS at home. Bring the form and a blank CD to the IT Help Desk for a free installation CD. If you discontinue employment at UNLV you are responsible for destroying all copies of SPSS. Failure to do so is a violation of Federal Copyright laws.
For Macs
There is a $50 charge for new SPSS installations on a Mac. To obtain SPSS for a Mac, complete a Software Request IDR (below). Send the signed document to OIT, Mail Stop 1075. A SPSS installation appointment will be scheduled once OIT has received the necessary forms. This can take up to ten days. SPSS licenses expire on an annual basis and must be renewed. OIT will renew the license on the server, but you must obtain new license keys each year for individual installations.
