Apple iOS, Mac OS updates to fix security issue now available.

An update that fixes a recent major security flaw affecting Apple iOS devices (iPhones, iPads, and iPods) and Mac computers is now available.b The security issue allows websites to fake security credentials and pose as trusted sites, enabling them to intercept your information. Apple applications affected include Safari, Mail, Calendar, and others.

We recommend anyone using devices with iOS 6, iOS 7 or computers with OS 10.9 (Mavericks) to connect to a trusted network and update immediately.

RAVE and SEND will be unavailable Monday, March 3, from 8 a.m - noon.

On Monday, March 3 from 8 a.m. until approximately noon, the RAVE and SEND web applications will be unavailable as the Office of Information Technology performs necessary updates to these applications.

Spring 2014 OIT training schedule now available.

The Spring 2014 OIT training schedule has been announced.

Courses cover topics such as:

Network Outage Scheduled for 1/11/14

On January 11, 2014, beginning at 9 a.m, the Office of Information Technology will perform maintenance on network switch equipment in order to improve network redundancy and reliability. This work will require that many systems be taken off-line during the maintenance.  Connectivity to many systems will be unavailable.

Major services affected include:

  • Computer lab and classroom computer access

Reminder: WebCampus will be unavailable this evening starting at 9p.m.

On Friday, January 3, WebCampus will be taken offline in order to install software upgrades. Maintenance will begin at 9:00p.m. (three hours before the normally scheduled maintenance period) and is expected to take until approximately 6:00a.m.

Maintenance To Be Performed Over Winter Break

OIT will be taking advantage of the holiday break and campus closure to perform maintenance and install upgrades on a number of systems, including the following projects:

Computer Lab & Help Desk Hours During Thanksgiving Break

During the Thanksgiving break, the following OIT services will be available:

General Use Computer Labs

TBE A311 will be open Friday through Sunday from 8AM to 5PM.

All other computer labs will be closed over the holiday break and will reopen as usual on Monday.

ACE Account Website Unavailable 11/8/13 8:00AM - 12:00PM for scheduled maintenance.

On Friday, November 8 at 8:00 AM to approximately 12:00 PM the Office of Information Technology will perform necessary updates to the ACE Account website to improve the account activation process.

During this time, the ACE Account website will be unavailable for users to activate new accounts, reset passwords, or update security questions. Websites and systems that use ACE, such as iLeave, Archibus, and Munis, should not be affected during the website maintenance. 

Users should delay installing Mac OS 10.9 until OIT testing is complete.

On 10/22, Apple released a new Mac operating system, OS 10.9 “Mavericks”. As with any new operating system release, the Office of Information Technology is asking users to delay updating to this operating system until testing of the product for issues with currently supported software can be completed. Until such time, the Help Desk may be unable to assist with resolving issues with this operating system.
