In mid to late Spring 2010, Google will power UNLV’s e-mail system for students, Rebelmail. The Office of Information Technology (OIT) has a few technical details to work out, but below are answers to some common questions regarding the transition:

December 2, 2009 - 3:45pm

On Thursday, December 3, 2009, 5:15 PM, OIT will modify the default DNS search suffix provided automatically when a network device (computer, printer, etc.) connects to networks managed by OIT,  from nevada.edu to NeVaDa.EdU. This change is not expected to cause any service disruption or impact. The change is being made in preparation for a larger project to move from nevada.edu to unlv.edu as the default search suffix automatically provided to computers and other network devices.

Please contact Andrew Gray at 895-0792 if you have any questions about this change.
