Between 7:53 and  8:28 a.m. on Monday, 10/26/09, Lotus Notes Domino 2 service was unavailable due to a large mail file that was affecting IMAP services. Technicians restarted the service and you should now be able to access mail.

Lotus Notes Domino 5 service was unavailable between 3:19 and 3:50 PM. We apologize for this outage.

The root cause is being investigated with the software vendor.

At 2:52 PM Lotus Notes Domino 4 service became unavailable. It had an outage earlier as well, between 1:13-1:49. The server crashed when a customer used IMAP to connect his/her device to a mail file that was over 1,000 MB in size.

We are addressing recent outages on various Domino servers. The outages seem to be caused by IMAP connections and/or template upgrades on e-mail files that are very large.  There was also a corrupt log file.

Lotus Notes Domino 4 was unavailable between 11:32-11:54 AM, Thursday, 10/8. The root cause is related to IMAP connections.

Lotus Notes Domino 7 service was unavailabe between 9:22-10:20 AM, Thursday, 10/8.

Lotus Notes service for those using Domino 7 was unavailable Wednesday, October 7, from 11:22-11:38 AM. This outage was caused by one mail client attempting access through an iPhone.

Between 3:21-4:05 PM, Tuesdsay, Oct. 6, 2009, the network switch for the Miller Soccer Building (MSB) stopped responding to monitoring probes. Network Development and Engineering resolved the issue.

The root cause was that UNLV employees, not affiliated with OIT, were rewiring something in the building and somehow disconnected this device from the network.

Lotus Notes service to Domino 7 users was unavailable for about ten minutes, between 3:40 and 3:50 PM, Friday, 10/2. Service has been repaired and all customers should have access to their mail files. If you do not, please contact the IT Help Desk.

We await a patch from IBM to permanently fix the problem that is causing the outages on Domino 7. IBM promised that the patch would be ready this weekend.
